In Grade One patterning is one of our first Math units. Chack out how well we did on creating patterns to the initials of our names:

Chicka Chicka ABC...Take a Look at my Alphabet Tree!
After reading the story Chicka Chicka ABC by Bill Martin Jr. students created their own alphabet tree. Take a look:

C'est l'automne!
students used their arm, hand, and fingers to create a fall tree
Spooky Trees
students worked with 2 different art mediums to create these spooky trees. Water colours were used to create the background and then students blew through a straw to create the overlaping spooky tree.
La belle citrouille
students created stained glass pumpkins to adorn the windows in the classroom. This was done using tissue paper, wax paper, and a lot of white glue!
Scarecrows
lots of fun to colour and great practice for our fine motor skills
